York SHRM has a New Diversity and Workforce Readiness Campaign and we need your help!
We need YSHRM members to create a new committee to help achieve our campaign goal. Our campaign goal is to create a workplace etiquette training session to offer at various locations for individuals with developmental disabilities.
As many of you know, there is a push right now to get individuals with disabilities working in the community. Many of these individuals have received the proper training on how to work in the community, but there are certain issues that sometimes aren’t addressed until it’s a huge problem, such as what’s appropriate as far as personal space in a work environment.
We are looking to hold at least three different training sessions. The committee will help with content development and delivery. If you are interested in joining this committee or have any questions, please contact Meredith Stone (mstone@penn-mar.org) or Samm Smeltzer (ssmeltzer@wellspan.org).
